BIO

Bringing together technical expertise, strategic leadership and a global perspective, JOSE DIAZ works at the intersection of facility management, building operations, construction and organizational transformation. As Associate Projects Director at PWT, he has managed complex portfolios across Mexico, Latin America and the U.S., spanning master planning, capital planning, commissioning and asset lifecycle management across industrial, life sciences, commercial, corporate and residential environments. A Chartered Engineer and Licensed Electrical Inspector with 12 years of experience, Jose combines technical depth with a strong focus on change management, cultural intelligence and high-performing teams.

Jose’s career is centered on helping organizations navigate complex projects while building resilient, adaptable workplace cultures. His experience implementing international and national codes at the FM level, combined with his expertise in infrastructure performance and organizational change, enables him to connect technical decisions with broader business and people outcomes. He is also a passionate advocate for professional development and the advancement of FM across Latin America.

An active IFMA volunteer leader, Jose is a founding member and Vice President of the IFMA Mexico Chapter and serves on the board of the Corporate Facilities Council. He also chairs the LATAM Lighthouse initiative and contributes to the Sustainability Committee for Workplace Evolutionaries (WE Green). His contributions to the profession have earned IFMA recognition at the chapter, council and global levels, including the Emerging Professional of the Year award. He also serves on the Eric Teicholz SFP Scholarship Committee and leads the Global SFP Case Studies initiative.

With CFM, FMP and SFP credentials, Jose continues to invest in the growth of the FM profession through speaking, mentorship and knowledge sharing. As he prepares to become an IFMA Qualified Instructor, he will help expand access to professional certification programs, including Spanish-language offerings. Across his work and volunteer leadership, Jose remains focused on connecting technical excellence, professional development and inclusive leadership to help shape the next generation of facility management.
