Plan your event agenda

What to pack

  • Good shoes: A pair (or more) of comfortable shoes is highly recommended. If you’re taking one of the facility tours, comfortable closed-toe walking shoes are also recommended. 

  • Business casual attire: The average temperature in Minneapolis for a typical day range from a high of 72°F (22°C) to a low of 60°F (15°C).  Temperatures inside the air-conditioned Minneapolis Convention Center will be cool, so plan to have a sweater on hand.
  • Vintage shirt: Celebrate 30 years of World Workplace with us at the Welcome Reception by rocking your favorite throwback look! Break out that old-school band tee, retro sports jersey, or classic IFMA swag. Dress comfortably - we’ll be out on the stadium field - embrace the nostalgia, and let’s kick things off in vintage style.
  • BYOWB: Bring your own water bottle! We encourage all attendees to bring their own water bottle to help us cut down on plastic waste.

Checking in

  • Registration is located on the Lobby Level in Hall D. Pick-up your official World Workplace badge.    
  • Registration hours:
    • September 16 I 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • September 17 I 7 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    • September 18 I 7 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • September 19 I 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Self-check-in: Preregistered attendees may proceed directly to a self-service kiosk in the registration area. Scan the barcode from your registration confirmation email or directly from your smart phone to print your conference badge.
  • In the mornings, coffee will be served to attendees, but we encourage everyone to grab a bite to eat before coming to the show.
