Technology has proven to be a key enabler to help the built environment industry hedge against the labour crunch challenge and meet sustainability targets. SJ has successfully deployed technology tools to meet these objectives. Yet, in a highly competitive labour market, opportunities remain for public and private sectors to work together to attract and retain FM talent. This is critical to building resilience in the sector and future-proof Singapore’s built environment industry.

Workplaces have always been important tools that organisations can use to achieve their goals. As organisations and workforces evolve with technology, our physical workplaces are also required to evolve to meet current and future user needs. Having a great workplace and the right leadership will support an organisation’s culture and values, helping in future proofing an organisation, leading to talent attraction and retention in today’s race for talent. As the Future Workplace is designed to be flexible, productive and joyful, GovTech aims to enhance social and work-related interactions as well as build a culture of innovation. These goals are achieved through improvements made to our physical workplace and the GovTech Way leadership principles.
